How to Close an EA Origin Account After Someones Death

All the information you will need to close an EA Origin online gaming account.

If your loved one was a gamer, then there is a high chance that they used this service. It allows users to pay for, download, and play the latest EA games, expansion packs and access a whole range of downloadable content.

The process is a little convoluted and requires the help of Origin’s staff. Additionally, all account’s that are logged on must first be disconnected.

To contact them simply log in to Origin’s contact us page using the email and password of the deceased and navigate as follows:

Go to “What can I help you with?”.

Search for Origin and click on the “Find solutions” link.

Open the drop down menu and find the platform that the deceased had the account with (be it Playstation, PC, Xbox or others) and again click “Find solutions”.

In the bottom right corner you will see a button that says “I still need help”.

Clicking this will take you to a page listing your options for contacting an Origin member of staff who will guide you the rest of the way. Your options will depend on where you are and Origin’s opening hours.
